SF Python is bringing its Project Night to Eventbrite. It's going to be an evening with about ~150 Python devs getting your questions answered, sharing your knowledge, hacking and taking tutorials.

Please contact Grace if your company would like to sponsor food and drink for this event in exchange for a table space to chat with Python devs at this event.

Tutorials offered

Python Level-up: exercises to expand your skillz with Wesley Chun

AUDIENCE: Developers familiar with Python basics who are interested in solidifying and improving their skills with hands-on exercises and code walkthroughs.

DESCRIPTION: Learning Python in an online class, in a book, or through videos is one thing, but there's no substitute for real coding experience. This is crucial, especially for beginners who want to move to the next level. This session starts off with a basic Python review, then moves into simple to moderate hands-on coding challenges where people work together in pairs to develop solutions. Join the author of "Core Python Programming" in doing exercises from the book as well as newly-developed challenges to help take your Python skills to the next level!

INSTRUCTOR: Wesley is the author of Prentice Hall's bestselling "Core Python" ( series, co-author of "Python Web Development with Django" (, and has written for Linux Journal, CNET, and InformIT. In addition to being an engineer & Developer Advocate at Google focused on Google Cloud, he runs CyberWeb (, a consultancy specializing in Python training. He has over 25 years of programming, teaching, and writing experience. Wesley was one of the original Yahoo!Mail engineers and holds degrees in CS, Math, and Music from the University of California. He is a Fellow of the Python Software Foundation and can be reached on Twitter (@wescpy).
