This month, we'll be exploring money in politics using the Python programming language and the Pandas data analysis library.
Python is one of the most popular programming languages in the world, and praised by its supporters as clear and easy to read, making it ideal for beginners. Pandas runs on Python and is used for accessing and analysing data. We'll be using both to look at data on money raised or spent by political campaigns in California.
Bring a laptop along as this is a practical, hands-on workshop. No programming experience is required. You don't need anything installed on your computer.
Make sure you're signed up to Dropbox to view our shared doc (https://bit.ly/journocoders-jun-2019). Then please add links to the show and tell section! These can be stories, analysis, announcements -- anything you think others might be interested in.
