Interested in artificial intelligence? Ever watch Star Trek and its talking computer? Just curious? Or wonder how it's possible to make an Alexa device talk to you, coherently?

Thanks to our friends at Amazon there is a one-day workshop in Holborn especially for Linuxing in London members.

The Amazon Alexa is a wonderful device will enhance your skills and it's a great learning experience!

To attend you will need to do 6 things, BEFORE:

1. Sign up on Meetup.
2. Sign up on the special Alexa website, see below.
3. Create an Amazon Developer account.
4. Create an AWS account, BEFORE you arrive!
5. Bring your laptop on the day fully charged and ready to code.
6. Confirm, in all certainty, that you will attend on the day.

NB: These workshops fill up very quickly, there are limited places and this is done on a first come first serve basis.

We are exceedingly keen to reduce drop-outs on this event, therefore if you put your name down to this event and do not attend then you maybe excluded from future workshops.

We have started a Linuxing In London project to get Linux laptops into the hands of aspiring developers.

If you know of anyone who has kit (old laptops, etc) which can be reused and recycled into Linux systems then please contact Brian at [masked]

We have given away three nice Linux laptops to #womenintech (for free) thus far! We want to do more, your ideas are welcome:)
